Hotel Rules and Terminology

• Check-in: This means the process of registering and receiving a room. It is usually at 2 PM, and early check-in is generally not possible.
• Check-out: This means the time to vacate the room. Check-out time is usually two or three hours before vacating the room to allow for cleaning.
• Mini-bar: This refers to a small refrigerator in a part of the room containing various snacks and drinks. You can request a refill, and the cost of the mini-bar items will be added to your bill.
• Voucher: A voucher is a document that contains your identity information, the details of your companions, the time of arrival and departure, requested services, and the room cost. If you have booked the hotel online, you must complete the voucher and print it out to present upon arrival. If you book in person, the receptionist will ask you to complete the voucher form.
• Housekeeping: This means room cleaning services. You can hang a card with a housekeeping request on the door handle for the hotel staff to clean your room.
• Full-board: This means having all meals included without additional cost.
